SOUTH EUGENE HIGH SCHOOL ROWING CAMP

(Entering Grade 8-12)

Enjoy week-long sessions of crew training on beautiful Dexter Lake.  You will learn, and get a chance to hone, essential skills for   competitive rowing while enjoying beautiful summer days on the     water.  This summer camp is a great introduction to the Eugene based regional club team, South Eugene Rowing Club or SERC, serving young adults in the south Willamette Valley.  It is also a great opportunity to build rewarding bonds and teamwork skills as well as experience.   Novices and experienced rowers both can attend either or both weeks.

Camp runs from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and provides transportation to and from the lake.  A basic membership in the  with the U.S. Rowing organization and a swim test are required.  All rowers should bring a full water bottle, a sack lunch, swimwear, non-baggy workout clothes, lunch, towel, sunglasses and sunscreen each day.

Camp t-shirts and August 5th Seattle Green Lake regatta fees are covered by the camp.  Beginning rowers must attend both weeks to participate in the regatta. See the South Eugene Rowing Club for more information at this   address: https://southeugenerowingclub.org/
