CAMP HOURS

Campers need to be to the Y by 8:45am.

Camp is over at 4:00 pm (unless extended care and field trips).

Extended Care Hours 7:30-8:45am and/or4:00-6:00 pm (extra fee).

HOW TO DRESS FOR SUMMER CAMP

Dress appropriately for the changing weather.

Campers will be active and will get dirty, please choose your clothes accordingly.

Campers must wear shoes with back straps to camp.

Campers should wear their camp shirt on field trip days.  Please label ALL your child's belongings.

Wednesday is Tye Dye Shirt Day (just because it's fun). Friday is theme dress up (again, it's fun).

EATING HEALTHY, LIVING HEALTHY

Please pack your camper a healthy lunch and 2 snacks that follow the USDA guidelines. 
We are committed to getting our campers physically active every day. 
As part of this, we also want to make sure campers are eating healthier throughout the day. 

 

WHAT TO LEAVE HOME

All electronics, cell phones, toys (stuffed, action figures, games, Pokémon cards, etc.) need to be left at home.  The YMCA will not be held responsible for lost items.  

 

SUNSCREEN

We will be applying sunscreen to your child several times through the day.  We will use roll on, spray, and lotion sunscreen to keep campers protected.

 

COMMUNICATION

Read the camp calendar and check your email for Y Summer Camp information.

 

SPORTS CAMP

Camp held at Edison Elementary School

Mondays we will walk to Edison after opening ceremonies at the Y. 

Tue/Thur/Fri we will be leaving the YMCA for Edison at 9:00 am, please be to the YMCA by 8:45am.

Wednesday all campers need to meet at the YMCA. 

We will leave for our weekly field trips from there.

How to register for Summer Camp

Come on down to the YMCA and fill out the paperwork

Go to eugeneymca.org and register online.

If all else fails...call (541.686.9622) or email (summercamp@eugeneymca.org) the YMCA and ask us for help!

 

Registration Fees

$25 nonrefundable (yet, transferable) deposit on each week of camp. 

Horse Camp has a $100 nonrefundable deposit.

YQuest has a $50 nonrefundable deposit Scoop

 

When does camp need to be paid by?

Camps must be paid for in FULL by the Tuesday prior to the start of camp.

 

What happens if I am late with my camp fee?

Payments after Tuesday will include a $10 late fee.

 

Is there financial assistance available?

Yes. Fill out financial assistance form and attach copies of your last 2 months paystubs,  last year's W-2 and 1040.  Forms are due by Friday, June 1. Scholarships will be awarded via email.

 

How can I get the member rate on camp?

  1. Become a facility member OR
  2. Purchase a $60 annual Program Membership. Offers a family or an individual the discount rate for YMCA programs (childcare, summer camp, youth sports, tennis lesson and swim lessons.

(Does not include facility access, program discounts only).

 

Is there Extended Care?

Extended Care is offered for all non-preschool camps on a weekly basis at the Y. 

$10/week for 7:30 am to 8:45 am (held in the gym)

$15/week for 4:00 pm to  6:00 pm (held across the street in the Y field)
