Emergency Closures
For the safety of our members and employees, we may close our facility at 600 E. 24th Ave. in the event of inclement weather.
Notification of a facility closure will be announced on our website, social media and EUG YMCA app.
REGULARLY SCHEDULED CLASSES: If 4J has a 2-hour delay or full-day closure, all classes starting before 10:30 a.m. will be canceled. Classes starting at 10:30 a.m. or later will be offered pending the instructors' safe arrival. Please check the EUG YMCA app or the schedules page.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS: Follow the 4J /Bethel /Cottage Grove School District Inclement Weather Policy.
- If schools are closed, all YMCA Youth Development Programs are closed.
- If schools open on a 2-hour delay, our Rainbows and Friends programs will open at 10 a.m. All of our school-age programs will be open for after school care only - not before school care.
- In a weather emergency, we will use Remini to contact families/guardians to let you know to come and pick up your youth immediately.
- When school isn’t in session, the Senior Director of Youth Development and Youth, Teen and Family Director will look to similar programs (City of Eugene, Willamalane, River Road Park and Rec. etc) and make the decision to either delay or close.
