Fitness That Fits You
Sometimes we all need a little more. Maybe you need a little more motivation and accountability, or a little more of a challenge, or just a little more help. You can get a little more - or a lot more! - with Personal Training.
Work individually with a Certified Personal Trainer who will create a plan to meet your specific fitness goals.
With the purchase of a personal training package, you will also receive an intake appointment prior to your first session. This session will cover health history, goals and scheduling needs so that your personal training experience is the right fit for you. Each Personal Training session is 1 hour.

Meet Our Personal Trainers
Angeline Perez-Gast
Angeline loves that while working out and personal training, individuals have the ability to discover they are capable of much more than they once thought they were. In turn, it builds physical and mental confidence, strength and resilience, which adds to quality of life. Getting fit and healthy is for anyone beginning at any age and at any level. She approachs training with the thought of everyday functional movements, longevity and the mindset of making it a lifestyle. She likes to help others find activities they enjoy and to keep it fun. In addition to gym workouts, she encourages people to include at least one fitness activity outdoors into their weekly routine for fresh air, natural light and to enjoy nature. Outside of personal training, she loves spending quality time with her family and friends, training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and enjoying outdoor activities such as rucking, cycling or just being out enjoying nature.
Cameron Singleton
Cameron is a Y group exercise instructor and a personal trainer. Cameron works with people of all ages who are looking to level up their fitness.
“I love that fitness sets a group of challenges in front of you and being able to overcome those challenges by making us better through our mind, our body and our spirit,” he says.
Outside of work Cameron likes to spend time with his daughter, hang out at the river, cook his own food, and try to enjoy the little things in life.
Cass Averill
Cass is a personal trainer passionate about helping clients feel better in their bodies, no matter their starting point. Having once weighed over 300 lbs. himself, he has an intimate understanding of the physical and mental journey of transformation. Specializing in weight loss, strength building, and enhancing functional fitness (or the ability to perform daily activities without pain or discomfort) he is a firm believer in breaking things down into small, achievable steps, and demystifying the path to health and wellness. He has a background in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals struggling with weight and those seeking to increase their ability to continue (or reclaim) doing activities that help them feel confident and capable. Beyond personal training, Cass is also a passionate activist and advocate for inclusion and belonging, a dedicated family man, an avid outdoorsman and the most proud dog dad there ever was.
CJ Nugent
CJ is a personal trainer, cycle instructor and leads the teen strength program. He loves being able to strengthen his body so that he can continue to do the activities he loves, like hiking, cycling, swimming and paddle boarding. His approach to personal training centers around “challenging the muscle” and emphasizing the importance of creating a mind muscle connection through proper set-up, stability, and execution of a given movement/exercise. He helps his clients work with rather than against their bodies by finding the exercises that work best for their physiology and learning how to move well long term. Fun fact, he loves exploring new water holes in Oregon and cold plunging in rivers and lakes!
George Espino
After 14+ years as a track and field athlete, George joined the Eugene YMCA as a personal trainer.
“I’ve been surrounded by fitness and personal training my whole life and I felt that it was important to give back all that I have learned to my community,” he says.
George’s approach to personal training is first finding out the capabilities of his clients and slowly building in intensity and challenge from there. He believes consistency is a large part in building strength and confidence within oneself. Outside of the Y you can find George in one of the many coffee or tea shops in the area.
Hollye Holbrook
Hollye is a lifelong athlete who has been strength training for over two decades. She deeply values movement, mobility and human connection and loves personal training work because of that. Hollye believes in building strength and length through stability, alignment and safety and in ways that are sustainable in the long run. Movement is a lifestyle and she strives to meet you where you are: whether you want to train for a competition, generally feel better in your body and more functionally fit in your daily life or are working with or recovering from injuries. Outside of personal training, Hollye teaches yoga, dances, does anything outdoorsy, bakes and cooks, and spends good time with family, friends and community.
Jenny Adams
In addition to being a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Jenny is one of the Y’s Health and Wellness Supervisor. Jenny believes it is important to live your best life, and one aspect is keeping your body moving as you age, which is why she loves working with older adults. Jenny also knows that working out and personal training is a great benefit to one’s mental health because it is calming and releases happy endorphins into the body. Jenny is a mom to 2 children, and loves spending time with her family outside of work.
Kaaren Ponto
As a personal trainer at the Y, Kaaren works with clients to create customized strength training programs that address their individual needs. She's passionate about helping people improve their health and increase confidence through exercise. Seeing clients progress and achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding to her. Her approach emphasizes holistic wellness, combining strength training, cardio, and flexibility work. She focuses on educating clients about proper form and technique, empowering them to make informed decisions about their fitness journey. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her son, cooking, and playing music.
Mike Moos
Mike is a personal trainer and group exercise instructor, leading Bingocize and Chair Fitness.
“I like to look at fitness as a pie: every slice has a purpose,” he says. “You have your nutrition, your sleep, your balance, your strength and your cardio. You have to have all those pieces to make a full pie. I like to help people with their slice of strength and balance.”
Mike likes being able to see how time and effort put in at the gyms transfers into his client’s day-to-day lives. Outside of teaching, Mike likes to spend as much time as he can with his family.
Nate Flores
Nate loves personal training because it provides him the opportunity to help others reach their fitness goals in a fun and challenging way. His approach to training stems from his mixed martial arts background in kickboxing, Brazilian jiujitsu, and capoeira. He believes in mastering the fundamentals and learning how to apply them properly and safely in practice. He's always willing to adapt his training plan and style to meet the needs of his clients in order to best fit their needs. Outside of personal training, he spends time playing music, beekeeping and spending as much time outdoors.
Nate Robinson
Alongside being a personal trainer, Nate also runs the Teen Strength program and is a Health and Wellness Supervisor at the Y. Nate mixes a little bit of physical therapy and sports performance to create a unique personal training style. He works with all ages to redefine what the term “athlete” means and to show everyone that they are athletes. He likes the fact that one minute can be super high energy and the next minute can slow down and work to get into the nitty gritty of things. Nate’s favorite pet to have are reptiles. He owns both snakes and bearded dragons.
Rudy Tyburczy
At the Y, Rudy's goal is to help create a welcoming space where fitness is about holistic well-being, not just physical change. As a certified personal trainer focused on preventative wellness through strength and stability training, he meets people where they are on their journey, using (hopefully) fun and sustainable practices. He aims to help clients increase their knowledge, empower their bodies, and show how health and fitness fits naturally into their lives. Whether at the front desk, instructing a group class, or in a training session, he's here to support members on their wellness journeys with empathy and encouragement. Rudy is also a standup comedian, podcaster and will happily talk with you about cats.
Stephanie Sanders
Stephanie is a Y group instructor and Personal Trainer. She began her fitness journey as a pilates instructor and grew to add yoga, LesMills BodyPump, HIIT and strength training. With a well rounded knowledge of the body and various styles of exercise, Stephanie helps others implement a workout routine that builds strength, flexibility and mobility. Her focus is on safe form and alignment, mindful engagement and movement, and good breathwork for support. Helping others understand their body and improving everyday strength is Stephanie’s passion and goal. Along with her fitness lifestyle, Stephanie enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, photography and art!
