At the Y, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging early childhood education environment for children aged 3 to 5. With a focus on fostering curiosity and a love of learning, our experienced educators create a foundation for lifelong development.Through monthly themes, youth explore the world around them and challenge their minds in ways that allow them to learn and grow according to their age and ability.

Rainbows Early Learning
Learning through play!

Rainbows for ages 3-4 focuses on socialization and learning about the world through play! The monthly schedule may include things like crafts and activities centered around a shape or color, a book of the week, neighborhood walks, and more! Lunch, snack, swimming lessons, and optional breakfast is included in this program that runs M-F from 7:00am to 6pm. There is a $75 registration fee per youth due at the time of enrollment in the program.

Friends Pre-K
Getting ready for kindergarten - and for fun!

Friends for ages 4-5 (only available for youth who are entering kindergarten the following school year) is focused on a kindergarten prep curriculum. Youth will build on the skills from Rainbows in learning shapes, letters, numbers, mathematics, and social studies concepts while also socializing with each other and having lots of opportunities to learn while exploring the world around them! This is a one-year program for the year prior to their entrance into Kindergarten. Lunch, snack, swimming lessons, and optional breakfast is included in this program that runs M-F from 7:00am to 6pm. For our full child care policies, commonly asked questions about staffing or swimming, a description of program offerings, billing/refund policies, and more, please take a look at our Family HandbookThere is a $75 registration fee per youth due at the time of enrollment in the program.

Available to Families with a YMCA Membership!

The Eugene Family YMCA offers engaging drop-in child care zones where youth from 6 weeks to 10 years can explore a variety of age-appropriate activities in a safe and nurturing environment, fostering both fun and learning. PlayZone (ages 6 weeks to 4 years) and KidZone (ages 5 to 10 years), provide dynamic spaces for youth to participate in supervised play, encouraging social interaction and creative expression while their guardians utilize the Y's facilities and services.
