REGISTRATION GROUPS
At the Y, we believe our greatest impact comes from building consistent, meaningful relationships with families—relationships that extend beyond seasonal programs like summer camp or afterschool care.
To support this, our registration policy prioritizes families who maintain ongoing connections with the Y, offering early registration benefits to those most engaged in our year-round programs.
By strengthening the link between Y membership and program participation, we aim to give children access to consistent mentoring, deeper relationships, and world-class programs and resources at the new Y.

GROUP 1: Currently Enrolled Child Care Families
Families currently enrolled in continuous Eugene YMCA child care through April 2025 will receive first access to registration for Summer Camp and the upcoming School Year.

• This includes families in Before School, After School, Rainbows, and Friends programs.
• It does not include those enrolled only in School’s Out Days or Spring Break Camp.

GROUP 2: Facility Family Members with Active Youth
Next, registration will open for Facility Members with active youth memberships.
To qualify:

• Families must have an active membership by April 1, 2025.

For Summer Camp:

• Membership must remain active through the start of each camp week a child is registered for.
• Ending a membership before a registered week begins will result in cancellation of that week and all future weeks.

For School-Year Child Care:

• Membership must stay active through October 31, 2025.
• ​Ending membership before this date will result in withdrawal from the program for the remainder of the school year.

GROUP 3: General Public
Registration will open to the greater community following the priority groups.
All community members will be able to register online at eugeneymca.org

YOUTH PROGRAM POLICIES:

The Family Handbook is a useful resource. It contains important information on topics such as:

• How to report an absence of your youth.
• Illness Policies.
• What to do in extreme weather conditions including snow, smoke, and high heat.
• What our child care programs offer in terms of hours, locations, snacks, enrichment/curriculum, sunscreen, and activities.
• What our early learning policies are regarding potty training, immunization, etc.
• How we communicate with you and your youth.
• How we support positive behavior and accommodate the diverse needs of your youth.

Financial Assistance - The Y welcomes all who wish to participate in Y programs and services and believes everyone deserves access despite financial barriers.
Because space in our programs is often limited, you are encouraged to register for child care, camp, or sports programs BEFORE you are awarded a scholarship.

We offer the following financial assistance to those who qualify:

You will be required to submit income verification with your application.
If you do not provide income verification, your application will not be processed.
Once awarded, that rate is good for 12 months and must be renewed annually.
