Darryl Wisner (Member of USPTA)
USPTA Elite Professional Darryl brings nearly 30 years of local playing, teaching and coaching experience to the Eugene Family YMCA. Darryl enjoys coaching all levels and ages and is the Director of Tennis at the Eugene Family YMCA.

Aaron Cheung (Member of USPTA)
Aaron focuses on sound technique and efficient movement through a hard charging and no non-sense style. Aaron is also certified by United State Racket Stringing Association (USRSA).

Alex Pate
Alex grew up playing tennis competitively in Texas (Dallas/Ft. Worth area), and his love for sharing tennis has only grown through his life. Whether you want to fall in love with a great game as a beginner, or need to sharpen your mechanical and strategic skills to compete at a higher level, his approach is consistent: have as much fun as possible and embrace the challenges! 

Andre Schlessinger (PTR)
Andre has been coaching tennis full-time for the past 10 years. After a stint in Las Vegas, he's come full circle, back to Eugene, and to him there's no better feeling than coaching at the same YMCA Tennis Center where he first picked up a racket as a kid. Tennis isn't just a game for him; it's a lifelong journey that sharpens the mind as much as the body. What he loves most about tennis is that it’s a sport where you’re constantly solving puzzles, alone on the court, facing down your own limits. The Y Tennis Center isn’t just a facility; it’s home to him. He genuinely enjoys the sense of community and the daily interactions with members, old and new. His passion for coaching comes from the thrill of helping someone else break through barriers and reach new heights in their game. When it comes to instruction, he takes a first principles approach—focusing on the foundational aspects that will give his students the biggest bang for their buck. Off the court, you’ll likely find him penning my next piece of writing or seeking out new adventures in the great outdoors.

Wendy started playing tennis in Cottage Grove as a child. She has been a long-time Tennis Pro in Eugene. Her specialty is working with older youth and bringing community together through the game of tennis.
